Dedicated Project Office is Geo’s premium service offering for the implementation, transformation and ongoing operation of complex, large data networks.
Using Geo’s proven expertise in the deployment of some of the UK’s most advanced optical fibre networks, a Dedicated Project Office is set up for each large implementation, designed to meet the highly specific requirements of Geo’s largest customers, and offering a bespoke methodology and dedicated organisational structure for the planning and rollout of major projects across the UK.
Recognising that the largest data networks involve more than just bolting together standard Telco products, Dedicated Project Office involves the creation of a dedicated team for each major project, tailored to a particular customer’s requirements. Typically, experienced Geo personnel are brought in to provide dedicated expertise in the following areas:

An example of Dedicated Project Office in action is the FibreSpeed project in North Wales. The Welsh Assembly Government’s requirement for the construction of a brand new optical fibre network through North Wales and the creation of a new company to sell wholesale services to service providers led to a highly bespoke project with very specific deliverables. A new team was specifically set up to manage the delivery of the project, ensuring the right level of focus, timely delivery and customer engagement. A separate subsidiary was also created within Geo to ensure that the ongoing operation and promotion of the new network and its services would continue to be the sole focus of the relevant personnel, albeit with direct support from Geo’s experienced management teams.
